Presented by: the Park Theatre Group. This modern musical adaptation takes the classic ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and places it in the alleyways of 1960’s New York. The sharks, a slew of Puerto Rican immigrants, are looking for a place to call home. The jets, a group of white teenage Americans, are looking to defend their territory. And two lovers, trapped in the midst of it all, have to choose between staying silent or risking their life for love.
