Today’s Theater Spotlight is on Manager Kevin Roberts. Kevin, similar to Jennifer, is a native Floridian –  born in Tampa. He and his family have lived most of their lives in the great state of Tennessee, but have lived in several states due to moving for Kevin’s career. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Wingate College in North Carolina and has a Master’s Degree in Administrative Recreation from MTSU.  He has worked full-time in public recreation since 1993. He is married to his beautiful bride, Kathy, for more than 30 years and they have four great kids – all grown and out in the world trying to make a positive difference. Kevin’s hobbies include golf, kayaking and most anything that has a competitive nature!

Little known facts about Kevin are: he was an All-State football player in high school, was a college football coach with a desire to coach in the NFL until a cute little blonde swept him off his feet and he decided to become a family man and dedicated sports dad. He and two of his sons had the pleasure of winning a Tennessee high school state baseball championship and have three state championship rings as a remembrance. Two of his kids have gone on to become college athletes with one of them gaining attention as a college First Team All-American.

Kevin’s favorite thing about the theater is show days and the excitement they bring. He also enjoys the variety of responsibilities he has at the theater and no two days ever seem to be the same. Out of all the jobs he has had, the theater has been the most rewarding because it truly is about bringing smiles to people’s faces and making a difference in the community.
